2012 Marks All-Time High for Amateur Radio Licenses

The number of licensed amateur radio operators hit an all-time high of 709,575 in 2012. Yet I wonder where the Rochester area hams are, they’re certainly not on the many idle repeaters in town.

The NY Times has a gallery of amateur photos from Kodak’s picture contests in the 1920s, ’30s and ’40s. Almost all of the photos are great even if none of the photographers even became famous.
