Ass-chewing and schadenfreude: Inside Hillary’s failed campaign

The Democrats have a litany of reasons why Clinton lost: Russia, poor whites, Bernie Sanders, etc. In truth, Clinton’s 2016 campaign failed for most of the same reasons her 2008 campaign did: a disorganized staff struggled to define a clear and persuasive message for their unexciting establishment candidate.

Instead of looking at the factors that caused Clinton to lose the nomination to Obama and addressing them, her campaign simply repeated everything. To no one’s surprise (but their’s, apparently) the results were the same.

How the Obama Coalition Crumbled, Leaving an Opening for Trump

There’s no question that Hillary Clinton was a weak candidate with too much baggage, but… Her campaign still could have succeeded had they not made some serious errors early on.

The Clinton team knew what was wrong from the start, according to a Clinton campaign staffer and other Democrats. Its models, based on survey data, indicated that they were underperforming Mr. Obama in less-educated white areas by a wide margin — perhaps 10 points or more — as early as the summer.

The Democrats can’t ignore any segment of the population because they’d rather not deal with them. If they don’t resign themselves to this we’re looking at single-party rule throughout the nation. And, as we can see in North Carolina, that would spell disaster for our democracy.

A little gift for you

It’s been a difficult and challenging year for most of us. As the year finally comes to an end and the holidays arrive I hope that you have a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah or whatever you choose to celebrate around the end of December.

For my annual holiday song I chose “Blue Christmas” for obvious reasons.

How The Bizarre Conspiracy Theory Behind “Pizzagate” Was Spread

Let’s be honest with ourselves, the United States is clinically insane. Proof: “Pizzagate” claims that Democratic operatives placing orders at Comet Ping Pong were actually using code to talk about underage prostitutes.

In the past something this bizarre would simply be comedic fodder, but now it’s taken as truth to the point that someone would show up at Comet Ping Pong with an assault rifle to “self-investigate”. This country needs counseling and possibly medication.

Three Myths About Clinton’s Defeat in Election 2016 Debunked

Three Myths About Clinton’s Defeat in Election 2016 Debunked: Racism, Sexism and Stupidity.

I’d add Electoral College as it’s the current bete noir, but three is probably enough. But what it comes down to is: Clinton and the Democrats ran a terrible campaign. Once all the smoke settles, I hope people realize that and refuse to let it happen again.

Movember 2016

As I have been doing every November since 2013 I’m participating in Movember, growing a moustache to raise money for men’s health. If you’d like to contribute go to http://mobro.co/tommaszerowski.

My dad was still alive when I started in 2013 but was still in the hospital. He would bounce from there to a rehab center and back again until finally passing in January of 2014. Although he was 92, his death came earlier than it should have because he delayed in getting the proper care. If I can get even one guy to go to the doctor when something initially seems wrong I will have considered this a success.

My approach this year is a little different than what I’ve done in the past. I’ve seen criticism of Movember as just a stunt to get yourself attention and that bothered me. I don’t like attention and I really have to force myself to do Movember and communicate on a regular basis. Nevertheless what I’m posting is mostly about health issues and I’m cutting back on the selfies to keep the focus on what it should be on.
