Exploring the TWA Terminal before it’s converted to a hotel

The TWA terminal in JFK airport was designed by famed architect Eero Saarinen in 1962. It was shut off from the public in 2001 and declared a historic landmark in 2003. Now it’s being converted (at least partially) into a luxury hotel but photographer Max Touhey was granted access and has shared his photos. It’s virtually unchanged from Saarinen’s original design and shows what airline travel was like in the 60s.
