Confession: I suffer pretty badly from stage fright. To the point where it’s shut me off from some things I’d really like to participate in. And there are ways to overcome it, if you’re willing to try. The standard method is to calm yourself down. Which seems to make sense. You’re anxious and agitated, calming down seems like the way to deal with that anxiety.
But there’s an alternative, which asks you to think of stage fright as excitement instead. I’ve tried the former, I might try this method as well, though I have no idea when.
