Your right to resell your own stuff is in peril

You may never have heard of the First Sale Doctrine, but it’s a legal doctrine that allows you to sell things you own without having to alert or compensate the original copyright owner (should there be one). But now, in Kirtsaeng v. John Wiley & Sons, the Supreme Court is being asked whether the First Sale Doctrine applies to products made with parts sourced from outside the United States. If you sell on eBay or Craigslist this would likely effect you and not in a good way.
