Matt Fisher’s family had to sue the person who hit her car and killed her in order to force her insurance company, Progressive, to pay the benefits her policy entitled her to. As bad as that was, a Progressive lawyer assisted with defending the other driver in court. Luckily, they lost, but Progressive still hasn’t paid the family the benefits.
Progressive denies defending the other driver.
However, documents show the lawyer, Jeffery Moffet, to be a Progressive employee. He also identified himself as such in court and sat with the defendant (the other driver).
