Cuomo signs beer tax break legislation

Gov. Cuomo signed the beer tax break legislation, restoring a refundable tax credit for New York income and business taxes that had been ruled unconstitutional. Had the bill not been signed, breweries would have been forced to pay an additional 14 cents/gallon on their beer with an additional 12 cents in New York City.

Note that New York now has around 100 craft breweries. I don’t hesitate to put us at the forefront of craft beer in the US.
