How US software ended up powering Chinese assault helicopters

There’s really only one easy way to sell military technology to China and that’s to do it illegally. It’s sad, but a lot of companies have decided that the fines and other penalties are just the cost of doing business.

I just recently completed an seminar on ITAR export procedures for work. It’s way more complicated than commercial exports but there’s a reason for that. Maybe the fines and penalties need to get stiffer so that companies think twice before illegally exporting defense goods and services.
