Wait, there’s a Constitution?

I voted for Barack Obama despite his support for the FISA telecom immunity amendment, but I was never really happy doing so. I guess I was hoping he’d eventually change his mind and support the Constitution and Bill of Rights. So far, however, I’ve been hoping in vain. But there was still a chance that suit brought by the EFF and ACLU would hold the telecoms liable for their warrantless surveillance would do what the President would not. Sadly, a Federal judge has thrown out the warrantless surveillance lawsuit using the FISA bill as justification. We can only hope an appeal will restore the freedoms our forbearers fought so hard for.
