Farewell, Hoover

Our rabbit Hoover was having trouble breathing today and unfortunately he was diagnosed with a large mass in his chest cavity that was pressing on his heart and lungs. Our vet told us the chances were very small that he could be saved, even if we took him to the specialists at Cornell. I made the decision to end his suffering.

It was the right thing to do but at present it doesn’t feel that way. I will miss giving him his breakfast carrot and watching him dance with joy when he saw it in my hand.
