I mentioned the beta back in April and now the official release of Lightroom 2 is available. It’s $99 to upgrade and $299 to buy outright. If you work with RAW files, it’s hard to beat Lightroom’s seamless handling of images from multiple cameras but I’m not sure I use it enough to justify the upgrade. If I were a pro, of course, there would be no hesitation. For now I guess I’ll hold off until one of the new features becomes important enough for me.
