The PalmAddicts blog has regular contests where you can win various gadgets that they’ve tested or reviewed by submitting an article on how you use you Palm in your daily life. The February contest is for a MacBook Pro and I submitted an article on how I use my Treo 700p to connect my personal and work lives together. Amazingly, they’ve posted it today.
Jason Kottke live-blogged the Mythbusters show on whether an airplane on a conveyor belt would take off. If you’re new to this, the setup is a plane on a large conveyor belt able to move at the same rate as the plane. As the plane begins to accelerate, the belt moves in the opposite direction. The question is whether or not the plane would take off from the conveyor or simply stay in place. Mythbusters answered that question.

The reason is as old as it is simple — greed. Airlines can make more money selling 70 airplanes worth of tickets per hour than they could if they limited themselves to the 60 airplanes per hour that the runway can handle. In fairness to the airlines, it’s not in their interest to limit themselves.
