It managed to be a White Christmas, barely. A thin layer of new snow covered the dirty remains of the storm we had a couple of weeks ago. It’s been a very different Winter so far compared to last year.
My gift this year was a TomTom One GPS. I used a TomTom in Ireland when I was there this year and I liked the software better than the Magellan unit we rented from AAA. TomTom is big in Europe but it’s also excellent for North America. If I have to travel again in the future I will take it with me, after updating it for my destination of course. The software is pretty nice, it updates the unit every time I connect it to my Mac. It will do traffic and weather via a Bluetooth phone but that’s an extra cost option.
I’m re-doing the downstairs bathroom floor for Mary Ann’s Christmas present. I’m crossing my fingers since I’ve never done tile before. But hey, if I can get a black belt, I can do anything!
I haven’t done much photography lately, but look for some soon. I plan to use my GPS to find some places I might have missed before.
And one final note, it’s an odd feeling saying goodbye to Alanna as she scrapes ice off the car windshield before going to work.
