Rhinos in Trouble
On the heels of the news of problems with the Amerks, it appears the Rhinos are also in financial trouble. Has time run out on Steve Donner? Let’s hope so.

Nothing like an elevator accident that injures two workers to expose the fact that you haven’t had a proper inspection done in two years. Since it’s believed that the elevator wasn’t actually defective (despite the inspection irregularities) that probably means it was overloaded or the load was improperly distributed, which implies the employees were not adequately trained. OSHA is going to be all over Happy Ice, guaranteed.
Ever wonder why all the radio stations sound the same? It’s because they’re all owned by giant corporations. And yet they wonder why people have turned to iPods and satellite radio.
I guess in a way my mom was lucky, she died of lung cancer before C.O.P.D could strike her down.
I love desktop widgets but I never liked Apple’s Dashboard because you can’t have the widgets visible without hitting a key. I’ve always found that annoying and I’ve stuck with Konfabulator (now Yahoo! Widgets) on my Mac (I run them on my work PC, too). But now there’s the Amnesty™ Widget Browser that runs Dashboard widgets on the desktop without Dashboard. Since I run different widgets at home anyway, this could be the ticket for me.
Thanks to Matt Haughey for this one!
[Update] Amnesty works fine, but the there doesn’t seem to be a working Yahoo! Mail dashboard widget or one that will simply display a kanji character like Jenerator. Surprisingly, the number of iTunes widgets is far smaller than Konfabulator. I may switch back.
