It looks like a few specialized areas are hiring, so this means that no one is outsourcing anymore? Wrong. And their numbers just don’t add up. Adding 150,000 jobs is only a fraction of the 1 million lost. It’s nothing more than propaganda to convince the government to raise the H-1B visa ceiling. You’ll notice how it fails to mention the large number of un– and under-employed engineers who could be trained to fill these positions.
I particularly enjoy how these propaganda pieces always seem to be astonished at the drop in college graduates in tech fields. It’s simple, really. These kids are smart enough to see what happens to tech workers and they’re heading for careers where they’re more likely to be treated like humans and less likely to be tossed aside like a used tissue.
