ET phones home, sort of

The SETI@Home project found some­thing recently, except it wasn’t evi­dence of extrater­res­trial intel­li­gence. It was stolen lap­top. The thieves didn’t bother to dis­able the SETI screen­saver and the orig­i­nal owner was able to grab the IP addresses it used to con­nect back to the servers and for­ward them to the police.
