Move Over, Robocop!

A NY State sen­a­tor is propos­ing a bill that would fine pedes­tri­ans and bicy­clists if they use their iPod, cell phone or other PDA while cross­ing city streets. Here’s a bet­ter idea, why don’t you either a) enforce the exist­ing law con­cern­ing vehi­cle use of cell phones since it’s way more dan­ger­ous to oth­ers to lose con­trol of an SUV than to cross the street or b) cut the amount of cor­rup­tion in Albany before you start telling the rest of us how to live?
