Here’s a story you probably won’t hear much about, since the news is more concerned with the death of a third-rate dictator and how much a semi-famous skank weighs. A massive, ancient Arctic ice shelf collapsed and broke free of the ice in far Northern Canada. It’s a sad reminder that global warming is taking its toll on our environment and how fast it is actually proceeding. I’m not sufficiently knowledgeable about global climate issues to know if this is man-made or part of a long term natural trend but the cause is less important than the effects.
