Philip K. Dick was a visionary

Richard Berk, a University of Pennsylvania criminologist, has developed a software tool that predicts who will commit homicide. It looks at about 40 variables to make the determination.

An article describing the techniques can be found here. [PDF] An important thing to note is that the sample population was 10,000 people already in jail. This may not work as a general predictor of behavior for a true random sampling.

That chill you’re feeling isn’t paranoia.
