Novell CEO gives behind-the-scenes account of deal with Microsoft

Novell responds, sort of, to questions about the Microsoft agreement. It’s funny how he dances around certain things, careful not to antagonize his “partner”. In particular, he talks about how Microsoft’s FUD has killed a number of deals for them but he never actually calls it that.

Park’s killer whale almost lives up to name

At Sea World in San Diego, a trainer was pulled down to the bottom of a tank by a killer whale in front of a large crowd. Luckily, he was able to convince the whale to let him go and he wasn’t seriously injured.

This is why I get a funny feeling seeing the Marineland commercials where the killer whale kisses the little girl. These are large, powerful, intelligent predators yet somehow we think that because they’re in water they represent less of threat than lions or tigers.
