Sen. Ted Stevens, the nutcase from Alaska who thinks the Internet is “a series of tubes”, is ‘the secret senator’ who placed a hold on a bill that would require the government to publish online a database of federal spending. In other words, he doesn’t think the government should be accountable for how it spends our money.
