This is not a good thing. Jus­tice O’Connor was fre­quently the one voice of rea­son on the Supreme Court, as evi­denced by her dis­sent­ing opin­ion in the emi­nent domain rul­ing. I’m afraid this will tilt the court towards ide­ol­ogy rather than law.
