One of Rochester’s most notorious criminals is Anthony Leonardo Jr. He was a very high profile defense attorney who turned out to be as scummy as the dirtbags he defended. He was convicted of (among other things) conspiracy in the murder of his law partner by one of his clients.
Recently, some of the transcripts from a 2001 bail hearing have been unsealed. It’s pretty clear his conviction was justified. To say the least.
