Go figure. The same company, Buckeye Pipe Line, that was responsible for a 50,000 gallon leak in March of 2003 had a 10-inch underground pipe leak gasoline into the Erie Canal yesterday. This leak is estimated at 29,400 gallons.

What’s really annoying about this bit of news is that they sold the whole idea of the Thruway by promising the tolls would end when it was paid for.
