The Elec­tronic Fron­tier Foun­da­tion has come up with a new peer-to-peer music shar­ing sys­tem that pays the artists based on the ASCAP/BMI/SESAC sys­tem used in broad­cast radio. But the RIAA seems unwill­ing to aban­don its pol­icy of mass lawsuits.
