Emergency service work is inherently dangerous, but in Missouri it was even more so when a sniper opens fire at the scene of two houses exploding. One paramedic was shot, numerous pieces of equipment damaged and two homes completely lost because the fire department was unable to operate safely at the scene. The sniper remains at large.
