Wow. A new hard disk recorder for Linux Ardour has been released after three years of work. It looks to replace ADAT and software systems like Pro Tools (which I use on Mac OS 9). A project of this magnitude is certainly unusual for Open Source, and deserves your attention if you use something else for recording. Make sure you have good hardware, naturally.
I used to think the Danger Sidekick was a cool device. Perhaps it is, but T-Mobile’s handling of it is nothing short of idiotic. Any company that thinks it can erase data from a device I own is obviously being run by morons.
