Nullsoft, the WinAmp folks, have a new distributed communications protocol, WASTE that they’ve released as Open Source (GPL). The client is Windows-only.
One unique feature is the built-in security via RSA and Blowfish. They claim it’s for workgroups and small companies to use but I can imagine it may have other uses, as well (like small groups of file traders who don’t wish to reveal what they’re sharing).
