Embe­dix Inc., which used to be Lineo, Inc., has been pur­chased by Metrow­erks which is owned by Motorola. This sort of con­sol­i­da­tion is not sur­pris­ing and will prob­a­bly con­tinue as the embed­ded Linux mar­ket matures.
