Be care­ful when using the “Reply to All” but­ton. A local com­pany, East­man Kodak, fired an employee when he com­plained about an e-mail in a mes­sage that went to about 1000 other employ­ees. The com­pany claims that when offered the chance to acknowl­edge that send­ing such a mes­sage to that many peo­ple was wrong, he declined and was terminated.

Sad news on the open source front. Some­one robbed the Pay­Pal account of the Abi­Word word proces­sor. I use Pay­Pal for a lot of share­ware and online auc­tion pay­ments and the fact that this was so eas­ily done is trou­bling to the Nth degree.
