I use a bunch of Instant Messaging (IM) services, though I’m not one to contact folks out of the blue. Recently, there was a vulnerability discovered in the AOL Instant Messenger (AIM) for Windows users and I switched over to Trillian, a client from Cerulean Studios, which combines AIM with ICQ, Yahoo!, and others into one client. This was great, until this week, when AOL began actively blocking Trillian users. Cerulean has issued a number of new versions to overcome this. It’s been back and forth all week so far. Stupid.
