Blog­ger, was hacked on Christ­mas, with some kind of data secu­rity breach. It seems some peo­ple have had their Blog­ger pass­words reset and there’s a pos­si­bil­ity, as yet uncon­firmed, that the FTP pass­words (for those who host their own blog) were com­pro­mised. It seems even free ser­vices are in dan­ger of attack these days. Plenty of dis­cus­sion on other blogs and sites like /. and K5.

The Wash­ing­ton Post reports Win­dows Vul­ner­a­ble to Hack Attacks. That’s Win­dows XP, in case you won­dered. Trou­bling, but not surprising.

Sup­pos­edly, this is the fun­ni­est joke in the world. I dis­agree, but darned if I can come up with what would be the funniest.

It’s pos­si­ble that they will be able to recover enough finan­cial data from the World Trade Cen­ter busi­nesses to recon­struct any shady deal­ings just prior to the attack.
