There is some opposition to the SSSCA bill which Disney is trying to get passed in Congress. It’s lukewarm at best, though. Remember, it would require PC manufacturers to build in anti-pirating technologies. Guess who would pay for that?
Computer World is talking about ubiquitous computing. Xerox PARC has been doing that for years, with little impact to the rest of the company or the world. Not sure why anyone thinks that will change.
